Some plants have been added from botanical books: to distinguish those as not existing in the herbarium of the author, they have been marked with a 1. Of plants properly foreign, none are received In the Catalogue, if they are not, as it were, naturalized. They are distinguished by the mark C. Many more plants might have been added, if the specimens received mm other parts. Had been more perfect The Cryptogamous plants were, with very few exceptions, found In Pennsylvania.
