After Dickens' death in 1870, it was owned and edited by his eldest son Charles Dickens, Jr., with a quarter of the publisher and journalist William Henry Wills.Charles Dickens - Charles John Huffam Dickens FRSA (February 7, 1812 - June 9, 1870) was an English writer and social critic.He created some of the world's best-known fictional characters and is considered by many to be the best novelist of the Victorian era. His works enjoyed unprecedented popularity during his lifetime, and by the 20th century, critics and scholars recognized him as a literary genius.
